IntroductionIn consideration of the previous literature about the Sri Lanka Creole Portuguese, the prominent scholar found in any context is Dr. Ian Russell Smith. Smith (1978) in his doctoral thesis discussed the Phonology of SLP, and it was the first scholarly study carried out on the language. In his work Smith, overviews the demographic and linguistic distribution of the language. The data was later updated by many researches including Cardoso, Bandara (2009, 2010), Nordoff (2012) Smith (2012) and Schwegler and Bandara (2014) accordingly. In the meantime there are many other researches both linguistic and cultural were carried out by many scholars such as David Jackson and Hugh Neville in their studies discussed about cultural heritage of creole speakers, kaffirinna and Baila in particular. Despite the linguistic studies there are many other studies about development and social transformation occurred due to many social, cultural and political changes in the society were discussed.
